Creating a Hot Folder for Epson Print Layout

You need to use Print Layout Easy Print System to register a hot folder for printing and set the destination printer and the media type for the hot folder.

For details on Epson Print Layout and Print Layout Easy Print System, see the help displayed from the Help menu > Help for each software.

  1. Create a folder you want to register as a hot folder anywhere on the computer where you use Epson Print Layout.

  2. Click the start button in Windows, and then select Epson Software > Epson Print Layout to start Epson Print Layout.

    This only needs to be performed the first time to load the computer environment.

  3. Click x to close Epson Print Layout.

  4. Click the start button in Windows, and then select Epson Software > PLEPS to start Print Layout Easy Print System.

  5. Click + to select the folder you created in step 1, and then click OK.

    You can also drag and drop the folder you created in step 1 onto the main window.

  6. Select the printer you want to use in the Printer field.

    Note:

    If the printer information cannot be obtained, an error is displayed. In that situation, check if the printer is connected correctly.

  7. Select the media type you want to use in the Media Setting List field.

  8. Quit Print Layout Easy Print System.
