Creating a Hot Folder for Garment Creator

You need to save the working file (.gcr) created with Garment Creator in a folder, and then use Garment Creator Easy Print System to register that folder as a hot folder for printing.

For details on Garment Creator and Garment Creator Easy Print System, see the help displayed from the Help menu > Help for each software.

  1. Create a folder you want to register as a hot folder anywhere on the computer where you use Garment Creator.

  2. Do one of the following.

    • Click the start button in Windows, and then select Garment Creator > Garment Creator to start Garment Creator.
The model-specific Garment Creator is called Garment Creator for XXXX (XXXX is the model series name).
    • Click the start button in Windows, and then select Epson Software > Garment Creator 2 to start Garment Creator 2.
  3. Select the printer you want to use from Printer.

You cannot change the printer for a model-specific Garment Creator.

  4. Import an image in the preview area, and then set the Print Settings, Layout Settings, and Color Replacement from the settings tab at the top right.

The image is only imported to create a working file, so you can use a temporary image.

See the Garment Creator help for details on each setting.

  5. Click Save As from the File menu, and then select Work data.

The save file screen is displayed.

  6. Specify a file name for the working file (.gcr), select the folder you created in step 1, and then save the file.

    Note:

You can also create a new folder in this step.

  7. Quit Garment Creator.

  8. Click the start button in Windows, and then select Epson Software > GCEPS to start Garment Creator Easy Print System.

  9. Click + to select the folder you created in step 1, and then click OK.

You can also drag and drop the folder you created in step 1 onto the main window.

The hot folder is registered to Garment Creator Easy Print System.

  10. Select the printer you want to use in the Printer field.

Select the same printer model as you selected when you created the work file (.gcr) in step 3.

    Note:

If the printer information cannot be obtained, an error is displayed. In that situation, check if the printer is connected correctly.

  11. Quit Garment Creator Easy Print System.
